WE NEED ENGAGED

LEADERSHIP

THE COUNTY PARTIES ARE THE BACKBONE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

Political entities, including parties, play a vital role in the governance at various levels—be it city, county, state, or national. The American government operates on the principle of being "of the parties and by the parties," a consequence of the citizens' right to freely assemble. Political parties serve as unifying forces, establishing crucial checks on the government, formulating policies aligned with their interests or supporting groups, and mobilizing voters to elect their candidates.

The effective organization of parties by the people is indispensable; it ensures competent parties that accurately reflect the will of the people in government. Conversely, weak and poorly organized political parties lead to government incompetence in representing the collective will of the citizens.

Today, our local County Central Committee (CCC) stands as the beating heart that connects grassroots patriots with our candidates and leaders, embodying the essence of organizational strength needed for triumph on the electoral battleground. In this era, the party's role, led by passionate individuals, has transcended to actively synchronize our candidates' campaigns with the Ohio Republican Party (ORP) throughout the entire year, not just during conventional campaign seasons.

The county committee's vital duties encompass:

  1. Local Organization (Precinct/Local/Legislative District - get out the vote, Republican registration drives, education

  2. Candidate Recruitment (Municipal, County, State, Legislative District, & Local ballots)

  3. County Conventions and Primaries that are designed to educate and inform

  4. Fundraising for the party to pay for campaign infrastructure and other candidate support

  5. Members are fiduciaries that ensure that funds are spent well and good candidates are cultivated for registered Republicans to vote for.

  6. Outreach and polling (to both traditional and non-traditional Republican-leaning populations)

  7. Development of a mission, vision, goals, priorities, and platform for the local party

  8. Networking candidates together and encouraging support for each other

  9. Development and maintenance of campaign infrastructure in the form of Candidate Services (yard sign distribution, preprimary debates sponsors, meet and greets, candidates night, door-to-door literature distribution, and general Republican Rallies)

  10. Develop and approve of political strategies

This fervent commitment to the multifaceted responsibilities of the county committee fuels our Republican spirit, ensuring a robust connection between our values and the triumphant realization of our political aspirations.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COUNTY PARTY AND ITS MEMBERS

LEGISLATIVE OBJECTIVES

The biggest duty of County Central Committee Members is to adopt both short-term and long-term objective that are a lightning rod for Republicans to rally around and build excitement for the party. By setting substantive and popular legislative goals the party is able to raise money and get volunteers without the need to help wealthy donors and corporations circumvent Ohio's campaign finance laws and take a cut from the State Candidates Fund. through in-kind contributions.
